Tuning
We offer a full range of tuning options from basic in home tuning, to full concert preparation.

Tuning at least twice a year is recommended to help compensate for seasonal humidity changes common in the New England climate.
Frequently, pianos that have not been tuned for years require a more extensive process known as pitch raising and fine tuning. Regular tunings help maintain A-440 pitch which is important for ear training or using the piano with other instruments.
Repairs
Repairs such as sticking keys, broken hammers, squeaky pedals, worn out felts are all addressed in the home when possible. If necessary, the piano can be moved to our shop for more extensive repairs. We have a full woodworking facility for custom repairs or manufacture of obsolete parts.

Regulation
A modern piano action contains over 12000 small wooden, felt and leather parts. As these parts wear, it creates uneven touch, notes that feel heavy or won’t repeat, and many other problems for the piano player.
A process called action regulation restores the touch by adjusting the many parts of the action.
This process restores evenness of touch that is so important to pianists.
Regulation also helps to significantly prolong the life of the piano, by keeping all of the parts in proper alignment.

Refinishing
We offer complete high grade refinishing of all pianos and player pianos. Old finishes are completely removed. Wood repairs are made, and veneer replaced as needed. A full hand sanding prior to application of custom stain colors and lacquer topcoats. Full hand rubbed finishes are available. New decals are applied to match the original wherever possible.

Wood Repair
Do you have a scratch, ding or dent in your piano? We may be able to help. Are there broken parts or missing parts to your piano? We may be able to repair or replace the parts you need.

Climate Control Installation
The addition of a full 6 part climate control system, made by Dampchaser Corporation, can dramatically help with tuning stability, as well as the overall health of the piano. The system monitors the humidity level inside the piano, and turns on or off automatically 24 hours a day to maintain moisture content at a constant 40-45% level. The systems are easy to maintain and can last many years.
